Giant Step Club: The Le Bain Years
2011–2018
Le Bain - at the top of The Standard High Line - is one of the most unique clubs in New York, with its sweeping views of the city and New Jersey, swimming pool inside the club, sound system and roof deck. Although it’s part of a hotel, Le Bain is an authentic NY music venue that respects and supports club culture. When our successful Monday series at Hudson ended, Stephane Vacher (of The Standard) encouraged us to move over to Le Bain.
For almost 10 years, we’ve continued to throw sporadic Giant Step events at Le Bain, hosting DJs like Questlove, Gilles Peterson, Francois K, Spinna, Ron Trent, Jazzy Nice and Danny Krivit . Below are pictures from the first event we ever hosted at Le Bain with Joe Claussell and Rich Medina, celebrating the launch of Fania Records’ Hammock House release.
