Giant Step Presents
In 1996, we decided to fold all our business activities under the “Giant Step” moniker, and dropped the “Groove Academy” name for presenting shows. Concert promotion had been our company’s first business venture, and although we branched out into club, management, record label and marketing - it still remained an important part of the brand.
We continued promoting shows independently, and sometimes in partnership with the other major music promoters in the city. Our insight into what was “next” in music, and our ability to reach a unique demographic, was our point of difference. “Giant Step Presents” on an event was a seal of approval - even if the artist was unknown, you know it was a show worth checking out.
